New ipod touch will not connect to wi-fi

I have a new ipod touch gen. 3 and it will not connect to my wi fi. I spent a long time on the phone with apple and they said it was a network problem. I spent a long time on the phone with the network and they said they did all they could and to call apple back. What a pain! Do you think I bought  a lemon?

I feel the same way! I bought my ipod touch in december for christmas....never got the wifi to work at home.  I don't know what to do.  Can anyone help me figure out a way to get my wifi working?
