I find many threads on converting video to iPod but nothing on how to sync them to the iPod Touch Gen 2 with 3.1.1.  Everything I read is for Apple computer only and then there are functions listed that are not in my version of iTunes desktop.  I am using a PC with XP Home edition.  Thanks.

I wish I could help you there.  I am brand new to the iPod and a very long time user of Palm.  I am so use to the ever so friendly operation of Palm OS that Apple is really making me mad.  I would have never considered an iPod except that Palm only makes phones now and got out of the PDA business.  There is so much that the iPod should be able to do if I can just figure out how.  It is a very powerful package.  Only backed by a very stingy company.

thanks for your reply. It's all new to me too. When I have my wi fi connection up and running from my  computer maybe I'll make a breakthrough. There must be a way to get that game on the ipod.... Good luck with your sync problem..

I a using the WiFi on my computer and have still found no way to add games and videos that way either.  One thing you can do with WiFi though, if you have DataViz Documents-to-Go you can sync your Microsoft Office documents to the iPod.  Even create Word documents on the iPod.  For $10 it is an excellent app.

step 1
Find video clips. You will need video clips to watch on your iPod. You can download these, create your own or even purchase videos to sync to your iPod using iTune.
Step 2
Prepare a video for viewing. To prepare a video for viewing on an iPod, it must first be in a file format that the iPod can use. To convert videos that are not in the MPEG-4 format, you may use iTunes' built-in software or use third party video conversion software.
Step 3
Sync videos. Once you have videos to watch on your iPod, you are ready to sync them to the iPod using iTunes. This can be either by selecting videos individually or by syncing a video playlist.
Step 4
Click on the “Movies” tab under the “Library” heading of the side menu bar. This will open your video library and allow you to select individual video files. Once a file is highlighted, drag it to the iPod icon under the “Devices” heading of the side menu.
Step 5
Select a playlist. To select an entire video playlist, open your iPod library by clicking on the “iPod” symbol in the side menu. At the bottom of the iPod library window you will see an “Autofill from:’ selection menu.
Step 6
Choose the playlists or allow iTunes to choose a radom selection. Click the “Autofill” button and you will have synced that video playlist to your iPod.

u can do it in two ways , either use apples software or any other  software , i prefer free software available on net,

go to Library and select movies , choose the movie or any video to sync and take it to "device" in the menu, and then to ipod menu .

viola , it's done , it's that simple!!!!
